Launchpad

Launchpad is a great site for students and their families to visit. It contains the websites that students use for class work and general information when they are in the school computer lab.

Q: Did you ever wonder where to get information for that class project?
Launchpad has "Classroom Collections". These links are created by teachers for their classes and are organized by grade level and then by subject within a grade level. You will notice that there are two links to help you find sites, a list by subject that will take you to the page on the launchpad where you can find the site or an alphabetical listing which gives a brief description of what the sites contain and will take you directly to the site itself.

Q: Is the internet new to you?

Launchpad "Starting Points" is what you need to help get you started and make the internet information more accessible. You will find the Internet Public Library, 700+ Great Sites, Library of Congress, Berit's Best Sites for Kids and more. You can also find sites to give you homework help and suggestions for things you can do at home when you are bored.

Q: Do you want new sites to visit for just about anything you can think of?

Click on "Search Engines" to help locate more sites that can help you in your quest for knowledge. These include Yahooligans, Google and others.
