Welcome to ELD!
This year the English Language Development Program welcomes fifty new ELL students! Any student new to our school with a first language other than English is screened to determine his/her English language proficiency. If your child can benefit from our ELL services, you will receive a letter indicating his/her entry into our program.
The 2008 ACCESS scores were sent home for all students who were assessed last winter. Please contact us if you have questions or concerns.
Mrs. Pittman, Ms. Nesbitt and Mrs. Glenn look forward to working with your children in our reading and language classes. Some of the programs we use are Scott Foresman's My Sidewalks, Read Naturally, Santillana Intensive English, and Rosetta Stone.
We hope you will join us next Tuesday, September 16 (Grades K-2) or Thursday, September 18 (Grades 3-5) for our Back to School nights. Looking forward to seeing you then.
